One vision: a tool carrier that's truly electric.
EXD is an Australian manufacturer of electric tool carriers — machines built to make the most of everything electric can do.
EXD started with one vision — and it was more specific than “100% electric”. It was a tool carrier that's fully electric and actually leverages what electric makes possible: the unique, spectacular things nobody else was making the most of.
Most machines just swap a diesel engine for a battery and call it electric. We went the other way. Working with our sister company Powered Motion, we built a drivetrain around a patented reduction gearbox and direct-drive motors that does away with the hydraulic system entirely — pump, hoses, valves and fluid gone. That's what unlocks the control, quiet and simplicity a diesel machine can't touch.
It led to Hand-E — the world's first fully electric skid steer — and a growing range of electric platforms. We're only getting started.
Electric should mean better, not just cleaner
Zero emissions and near-silent running matter — but they aren't enough on their own. An electric machine has to earn its place on a worksite: it has to lift, load and last, and it has to be something an owner can actually keep running. That standard drives every design decision we make.
Built in Moorang, QLD
EXD is designed and built in 1819 Tarome Rd, Moorang QLD 4340, Australia. The machines are pre-launch — the best way to follow along, or to tell us what you'd put one to work on, is to drop us a line.
